YES.  I want to see The Dark Knight

YES.  I desperately want to see The Dark Knight.

YES.  I LOVE Christian Bale and Gary Oldman.

YES.  I want to see Heath Ledger’s final performance, which might possibly go down as his mostly legendary in a short but strong career.

NO.  I do not want to deal with the stress that goes along with seeing a movie in an opening weekend, especially a movie like this, which is sure to set box office records.  I’m not going to be the VERY first person to see it.  The movie will not change next week and my excitement for it will not wane.  So I’ve made the decision to not even TRY to get tickets this weekend.  I instead, will find things to do outside and away from papers and television and, to a lesser extent, radio.  I’m still psyched to see it, and will be even more psyched when I don’t have to deal with lines and the inability to get the seats I want.

that being said, if anyone gets an extra ticket, I’m totally there
